Life. It's not like that.
Stand around long enough and you'll develop a back problem. Show up enough times and you'll end up working at a kiosk the rest of your life. Life flies by and as quickly as we have opportunities we will miss every single one. Refuse to take risks or speak up and you will just turn into an older, bored and wishful person.
Today is a great day to grasp the bigness of every opportunity at hand. There are so many lessons from the Bible that tell us that: Life is a vapor, Esther choosing to do something, Joshua and is 'as for me and my family' speech, so on and so on.
We all have the opportunity to get in the game. We also all have the opportunity to set the controls on cruise and eat combos until we turn 86. Your opportunity doesn't have to be going to France, Papua New Guinea or Tanzania. Your opportunity might be in the next room with your kids or just a few miles away with a new job.
The point is-explore your opportunities. Ask, seek and knock. See what is out there.

Nikki and I had another knock experience recently when we had a preliminary discussion with Patrice from France Mission. This is a very positive step in the right direction for this new ministry. Soon we'll have another meeting and officially be on the cusp of applying formally to work with France Mission. Realistically there are many more steps to go and many more discussions to be had but these steps are valuable. We already are 'in the game' but each offering, each interview, each new supporter is one step closer to being 'on the field.'
